Edit: I'm not sure why it's not showing villain's hand in some spots, I'm going to edit this and see if I can manually put the relevant hands in. Sorry.

I am almost ashamed to post this HH, but in my defense I think this was not bad default play, it was more of making bad plays based on reads that were way too weak to make such strong plays with. I'd like feedback on how I played my big hands early, I felt I could get him in a wider after that 43 hand on the nut flush hand.

He said he had KK on my nut flush flopped hand, but I doubt he's folding KK there, what do you think?

Did I overplay the 43 and A4 flush hand? Should I have seen a turn? Initially I thought I played them fine, but as the match continued I felt he would've definitely got it in a lot of turns with those boards (not sure about 43 I have no clue what he had there besides over cards).

I felt the AJs hand was fine.

The 86 hand is obviously terrible, he took awhile to call that 3-bet so AJ AQ is definitely in his range, he's fairly tight preflop with 3-bets I think so I should've just c/f that hand. Is the 3-bet ok in your opinion here? Not necessary? I don't generally 3-bet at this level with hands like that because I don't feel it is necessary vs most people I play, but against him I thought it was a decent play, leading there was obviously terrible and I should refrain from ever 3-betting a hand like this if I'm going to lead a flop like that. He's a player that folds a lot more to c/r than leads and that flop is not the best place to go with either.

The calldown with the 74 was pretty bad, I actually felt he had a flush there and the only other thing he has is a Jack. It was an unnecessary call down, he may fire like that with nothing but it was a bad spot even for him to do it, compared to earlier where I called down successfully against his air. I usually interpret those a lot better, I'm not sure how I talked myself into this one, but unless you see something different I'd like to ignore this hand because I feel I understand it fine.

I would like feedback on the 8h9s hand where I flopped an open ender. I felt he was leading with an ace there a lot, after the turn check I highly doubt he has a pair, but the river brought the ace otherwise I was probably raising that river. I felt that would have been a very good play, I would like feedback on that, this is one of the reasons I posted the whole HH.

I think that's about it here, sorry for all the pre-comments I just wanted you to get an understanding of why I posted this and some of my thoughts on these plays so we can get the best feedback possible. I'm sure I will get plenty of good comments on this from anybody that reads it and it should help me to understand a lot that I did wrong here and perhaps some reads I missed or thought were there that were not.

Yeah, that 47 hand when he had the King flush? Why are you calling on the turn? The chance that you are good and hold up is so slim. He could be checking the Q or the 9 to you or the flush draw, and him betting pot on the turn could easily be the flush, or the Q, or maybe two high cards with one diamond? Sure, it could be a total bluff, but is it really worth calling here? He could even have A4 or K4 and be beating you anyway. This hand should've been an easy fold, you gave up a LOT of chips here.

Ok i'm at work so i'll do my best to try to give some comments. Okay I looked it over, and I want to say that in general, I think that you play too passively especially in position. So many of these hands go you raise button, he calls, bet call, check check, bet fold. By just calling in position its really hard to find out where you are in the hand.

I think the 43 hand is fine, maybe reraise a little less, but a pretty wet board.

Hand 4- flop teh nuts, I definetley, 100% call his reraise. I think the minraise looks especially dangerous to him, and I believe that KK was in his range there. Call the turn, it will look like you have the Ace of diamonds or something, but anything is better I think than the minraise, because no one is putting in a 4th bet with anything else. Checking the turn might draw value from either an overpair or a worse flush.

89 hand - I think there a lot of different ways you can play this. He donks a lot of flops oop, so you can raise the flop. If he calls, then at least you have a general idea of what he has. Even if you do call the flop, I think a turn bet wouldnt be such a bad idea. Bet out 350 or so, maybe a little less, and i think theres a good chance he holds a 10 or even maybe a jack. His river bet looks weak here, but at this point I think that a bluff wouldnt make sense. Raising the flop or betting the turn allows you to take control of the hand, and to use your big stack to your advantage.

Hand 9 - played it fine, i like to overbet the river here sometimes in case he hit, or at least pot it. but its fine

The two questionable hands are obv bad. I esepcially hate the one where you turned a 4. thats a really marginal river call. The other one where you raised preflop is okay, i dont mind preflop so much, but a fold is obviously a better decision, but once he calls I dont really think leading out is so good. Hes not gonna respect yor bet first of all, and will shove with a lot of hands including any spade i think, and it obv just puts you into a bad spot.

I could've used this advice 6 weeks ago when this match happened. I've played 200 33s and about 25 55s since then.

I actually feel I made a big step forward in my game shortly after this game. A lot of this stuff looks pretty ugly to me now.

I'll have to post a new HH soon and we'll see how I've improved.
