Main villain is way too damn aggressive for 58 VP$IP for me to be folding this river. Crap, in addition to a flush draw, he was probably calling the flop with any two rag cards with vague straight potential and maybe with any two overcards.

Checking the turn for pot control seems fine against this guy. There may be value in a bet, but who knows who's drawing really, and whatever value there is, there's a decent chance he'll give it back to you on the river after he misses. Plus, getting checkraised without really being sure you're beat would suck.

This is NL10......no need to play tricky poker, does nobody else advocate just check your 3rd pair on a drawy board?

As played this seems like a river fold...you checked the turn showing weakness yes, and he might be bluffing, but eh I probably fold and not put in 20% of my stack with 44 here....his stats are irrelevant here, 50 hands it nowhere near enough to determine anything.

maybe your right but I figured I crushed MP range once he checks flop and prob ahead of BB range as well so I dont know if betting flop is "getting tricky"

The river looks like a value bet to me. You gave it a shot, but I think it's time to fold.
