Also, any time you and/or any of your buddies post in this thread, keep in mind that all you do is bring attention back to information which you are obviously concerned about.

[/ QUOTE ]

First, I don't know any of the people in this thread, other than the fact that Snyder is an author of a book I read, malo is definitely not Snyder's wife, and you are definitely a pompous buffoon who runs 2+2 (I do recommend some 2+2 books, but that is unrelated).

Second, what this does primarily is "out" you to the growing number of people reading these threads who are catching on to your unethical, unprofessional behavior, which casts you in a light of lower credibility every day. And that includes your powers of logic and deductive reasoning, and lack of objectivity, which affects your credibility as a poker and math author. People have been catching on, little by little, for the past couple years.

So post away man, let it flow.

Within the advantage play community, privacy is one of the most valuable commodities. Mason is fully aware of this, but does not hesitate to disclose personal information the moment conflict arises.

[/ QUOTE ]

This has been brought up several times in the various threads on this general topic. The hyper-paranoia of the "advantage play community" is beyond the comprehension of even those of us who are familiar with the hyper-paranoia of the "pit boss community".

It has been established on this forum that "Radar O'Reilly" is in fact the wife of Arnold Snyder. This would be useful information to a blackjack pit boss if she were to sit down at a high stakes blackjack table wearing a convention-style name tag that said "Hi, my name is Radar O'Reilly". Or, "Hi, my name is Mrs. Arnold Snyder." But it is quite evident that Arnold and his wife and others of the "AP Community" have gone to great lengths to separate their true identities from their gaming persona. And nothing posted here is likely to change that.

Personal attacks on irrelevant subjects by either side of the argument do nothing to further the quest for truth.

But they sure are fun.

"Radar" is not the name MM has used that has elicited criticism. That is a public forum name, not personal info.

Now I'm curious. Is Arnold Snyder a pen-name? If so I thought it was a good one as it SOUNDS legit.

Anyhow, the most interesting thing here is the only reason I bought Snyder's book (again is that his real name even?) was because any time the name/book was mentioned here, it would turn into one gigantic debatable thread.

If these posts by Snyder (real name please?) are intended to increase book sales, they definitely are working...

I'm pretty sure it is a pen name. My understanding is that he keeps his real name secret because he still plays blackjack and doesn't want the casinos to know who he is for obvious reasons.

Come to think of it, he DOES have his picture on the back of the book, however... due to the hat, beard & sunglasses I assume he is disguised enough to avoid photo-id from BJ pit bosses.

That, and the fact the picture could be 20 years old for all we know.

Harrington's M is a tool for where you stand on the blinds. The article cuts down on the M based upon the blind structure. I use the M for my hand at the moment knowing it WILL decrease by 1/2 in x minutes.

The purpose of the M is for players to know that they have to adjust their way of playing or they will blind out shortly. I understand that the blind structure will have an impact on the M but for the new player, they just need to know that they have to adjust their play when their M gets to 20 or less. The matter of how many hands doesn't matter as the fact that I have to adjust my play or I will be gone shortly.
