Name of an old reality show

it was on either MTV or VH1, it was basically an American Idol without the judges. mid 90's time frame, and it was hosted by a girl that was either in Destiny's Child or TLC. I can't remember the name or anything, anyone help me out? I tried searching for it but couldnt find anything.

It took me about 30 seconds to find that it was called "The Cut" you really aren't good at the internet.
