3-Bet KK and an A Flops.
I need some general guidance when 3-betting KK and an A comes on the flop how to proceed with the hand. I can get pretty lost especially against unknowns.
FWIW I am not one to 3-bet light that often, so anyone that has a history with me or is paying attention at the table knows that. This is FR, not 6Max. Example hand, effective stacks 100BB Hero in LP with Kh, Kc Preflop: MP opens 4BB, Hero raises to 12 BB. MP calls Flop 24BB: As, Jd, 2d Typical range for MP opening PF and calling 3-bet is TT+, AJ+. Possible but less likely are any PP, KQs. AK, KK, and AA are less probable because 2Ks and 1 A are out. If I get checked to, I can fire but I’ll most likely only be called by a better hand. I’ll have to fold to a raise or a Turn lead. If I fire there really aren’t any worse hands I see calling. But if I check I can see QQ or TT leading a safe Turn and I’m gonna hate putting another 20+BB into this pot. Any decent player is going to pounce on me on the Turn if I check the flop. What is the standard line here against unknowns? |

Re: 3-Bet KK and an A Flops.
bet 50% of the time (fold to any other action)
check behind 50% of the time (call at least 1 bet on turn or river) |

Re: 3-Bet KK and an A Flops.
if im in position (FULL RING)i check this flop alot of the time, like 85% +
call at least one bet on either street and maybe two depending on alot of factors... also, prolly value betting if its checked down to the river if im OOP it really sucks-against an aggro opponent im betting here almost always...if hes really passive im looking to go to showdown cheap |
