[/ QUOTE ] It's been clear for the past few years that the writers of "24" have been incapable of thinking even a few shows ahead, so to believe they whacked Tony with full intention of bringing him back two seasons later is a little far-fetched.

What I found amusing about the article was the assertion that the producers intentionally omitted the silent clock, just in case they wanted to bring Tony back.
I recall a discussion here about the silent clock at the time of the episode. I think some may even have wondered whether Tony was dead. I dismissed such talk as silliness. But I guess that silent clock thing actually is supposed to matter.
