HULA 2007...interest?

I was thinking about starting another HULA. I spent the last 12 months in grad school and wasn't on the forums much...was there a HULA since the last one I was commish for back in early 2006?

Also, if you would be interested in participating let me know. HULA means Heads Up Leage Association and is run by 5-6 teams of 5-6 players each. Everyone pays a TBD amount of money. Each team plays one team a week for 4 weeks, and then there are playoffs. Winning team gets x%, and second place gets the remaining pool.

All games are limit heads up style. If you want to know more use the search function...if there is any real interest I will post a lot more info in the coming days.

I talked to Surfbullet a month ago and he said he would be willing to be captain and help run the league again.

There is a HUL running right now, but it is NL.

Yeah there was one. Back in the spring. I don't think I'll be up for this one. It's a bigger time commitment then it seems esp if your a capt. I'd like to have some smaller scale versions going semi-regularly though. Like two teams playing three times. Maybe monthly or something.

If there's enough interest in the big HULA, go for it. I'll sticky the match ups and stuff.

Is this run in a way to keep rakes down no matter what the buyins?

IOW can this be played out on play monies for savings?

buy-in for big HULA's has always been 300 of which you get 100 back if you complete all your matches.

There's no designated site. You and your opponent play at the stakes/site you wish. Default being micro/play money games.

is there a difference between HULA and the HUL that is running right now???

HULA is Limit and with teams in a cash freezeout scenario, HUL is NL and in a HUSNG format with no teams.
