NL$10 hand - Nut flush on turn - no low
Preflop may be questionable but I'm still playing around with various button hands.
Absolute Poker No Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 8 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $8.63 UTG+1: $2.96 MP1: $4 MP2: $4 CO: $12.75 Hero: $18.70 SB: $1.50 BB: $21.05 Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is Button with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB checks. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($0.6, 6 players) SB checks, BB bets $0.5, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($3.1, 5 players) SB checks, BB bets $2.8, MP2 folds, CO calls, Hero raises all-in $18.1, SB folds, BB calls, CO calls all-in $9.35. Results: Final pot: $51.45 My reads were BB has nut low and CO has either a worse flush or two pair/trips drawing to a FH or possibly another nut low. Anyone wait until the river? I figure if they're both on nut low neither is folding the turn but one may fold the river if they get counterfeited. If CO is on two pair he's probably not calling a river bet if he doesn't get there but he'll most likely draw since the pot will be so huge. |

Re: NL$10 hand - Nut flush on turn - no low
I don't like it. I think by raising all-in you will often get HU against someone who has a minor freeroll (like 4 outs to a FH). I would rather just call to encourage someone else to come along with the nut low or non-nut flush; that way if the board doesn't pair, you should be able to quarter your opponents, plus if a 2 or 3 falls you may be able to steal the pot outright.
But I don't play much NLO8, and I see you got another caller (CO) in any case. If opponents are donk enough to call your big bet with non-nut flushes then pushing isn't so bad. |

Re: NL$10 hand - Nut flush on turn - no low
So assuming I had just flat called the action would have looked like this -
Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is Button with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB checks. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($0.6, 6 players) SB checks, BB bets $0.5, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($3.1, 5 players) SB checks, BB bets $2.8, MP2 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, sb folds. River: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($11.50, 3 players) BB bets all in $18, CO calls, Hero.....obv fold BB did in fact end up having four perfectly working cards - AQ23 and he scooped the 510BB pot. CO had 2nd nut flush. Obviously I'm overcalling on that river like never once the board pairs. I guess with me acting last it probably would have been best to wait till the river because if the board doesn't pair and BB still bets out CO is in such a bad spot (and he was very loose/calling station obv) that I can sandwich him. |
