Default What to do on turn

eff stacks around 2.7k
game:Live 5/10 20 to come in. The game has been playing standardish
Session just got underway but Villian is jmc on stars. He seems to have some aggressivness to his game so far into the session.I have been in like no pots as of yet for him to notice me.

Hero is Dealt: 8c9c

Preflop:
Villian raises in mp to his standard 60. i call on button just us two to the flop.

Flop135 pot)
7d 5h jc
He bets 80 I raise to 280 and he calls

Turn695 pot) Ac
He checks and I...?

Should I bet here because of stack sizes or make the standard check(I normally just check here alot).
basically i want to know if we were deeper like 3.7k eff should i be betting this turn almost 100% of time and never betting it if he was on the short side(psb or under)?
i usu. base the des. on a turn bet in similar situations on my feel of how high my fold equity is and never take stack sizes into account. Is that wrong?

comments on other streets welcome also. Thanks for the response

i use to always bet in that spot b4 and double barrel any draw in my old days but i have toned down my turn aggression with draws alot from then.

so stack sizes are important in determaining if/when to bet correct?(along also with if the turn is a scare card for a one pair hand that we could likly be holding)
if the turn was the 2c its also a def. bet?

2c i may bet less often taking into account as much live tells as i can before i decide.

the Ac is such a perfect card though because it gives you a lot more outs and is also very scary for someone to c-c on the turn oop with the fear of facing a large river bet.

sure, AJ is a likely hand but so is QQ, KK, JQ, JK, TT, etc. etc. etc. which makes the Ac a scare card. you'd be suprised how many people will dump KK here if you bet the turn (as long as you don't have a maniacal image that is)

very true. i spoiled my scare card
i shoulda bet because their are alot more combos of other possible holdings that dont include an ace or him flopping a set.

When you check behind on the turn also he will know that the Ac was a scare card for you too and you have zero hope of blufffing him out on the river.

thats true. i would very rarely bluff after checking turn in this situation tho.i know i will get called lighty, thats why i check the turn if i hit just the ace normally also.
