Default Re: Potential 2+2 Books: Short-handed NLHE, Heads-up NLHE, and PLO

Hi Everyone:

We have just made the decision not to pursue the PLO manuscript we were looking at. So at this moment, Two Plus Two does not have a PLO book in its plans, and given all our other current committments, it will probably stay that way for a while.

Best wishes,
Mason

that is so bad , I was greatly looking forward to an pol limit book for advanced players .

could you give some tips for pot limit manuscripts future submitters what it is that you are looking for.
perhaps post that on the pot limit omaha forum, and then in about a year someone will submit an well written omaha book.

I can only hope the decisions when it comes time to make them for the heads up and short handed books are more favourable.

that is retarded, why... even though i am shorthanded and heads up expert in NLHE (and have played PLO regularly up to 200/400), and have even already written a book on this exact topic... i was rejected as a prospect for writing this 2+2 book?

Dude, there is no shortage of poker book publishers.

It's a well known fact that Cardoza will publish anything.

You should have no problem getting your manuscript published if it's even half as good as you say it is.

another no-limit hold 'em book that would include much material on short-handed play, a no-limit book for heads-up play,

I would love to buy these books. 6-max and heads up cash games are an under-represented area in poker literature because they don't spread these games in most live casinos. But with the global appeal of on-line gaming where 6-max and heads up cash games are very popular, I think it's time to get some good theoretical as well as practical material published on the subjects.

Or probably crappy to very crappy like the rest of his books.

Ok, to be fair I only read a couple chapters of the book and skimmed the rest but I was not impressed at all.

I am very curious about this since, IMO, the PLO and HU-NLHE books would have difficulty finding an audience.

All recent 2+2 releases addressed games popular with the "masses" [NL Tourneys (Harrington), NL Cash, SnGs, Limit shorthand, etc]. No matter how good, I doubt a PLO or HU-NLHE book could approach recent 2+2 sales.

[/ QUOTE ]

Anyone want to guess how much one could make off writing a good PLO book?

I thought this was the best PLO book ever written.
