Re: Problems at the Taj last weekend
I would probably let the non-english slide between players while a hand isn't being played, but from the dealer its completely unacceptable. As for while a hand is out, just politely ask them to use english-only while they are in a hand. They are much more likely to treat you kindly if you ask them politely than if you go to the floor manager. Don't worry about getting action. You'll still get action if you flip up AA PF and then raise.

Re: Problems at the Taj last weekend
Low stakes, action players, likelihood that dealer would keep the Asian players honest.
Again, it's 3-6 - so if it's a good table, try to just enjoy it. Sometimes, it's worth it to take the good with the bad. But mention something in a non-nitty way to the dealer. Most AC dealers are professional enough to enforce the rules if someone complains. For, 1/2NL, 2-4/ 3-6, you'll see a table once in a while where the rules look like they got tossed out of the window - but it's because everyone gave their consent (implicit or explicit). |

Re: Problems at the Taj last weekend
Only thing I would complain about is talking in a nonenglish language, the rest is just your average old donkey and fish being retarded shenanigans that you find at every low limit table on the planet. But non english communication is a big no no.

Re: Problems at the Taj last weekend
The absolute worst drunkest player I ever saw was in a 2/5 NL game at green valey ranch. He would randomly thorw a huge pile of chips into a pot. He string net, acted out of turn, cursed at the dealer and did anything else against the rules you could think of.noone said a thing. He was an atm machine. Technically he broke pretty much every rule but who cares?
After dropping a ton of money he said he was going to an atm machine. when he came back he sat down with no chips (he said he gave a chip runner 500 and was 500 behind)and was dealt cards for 3 or 4 hands(noone complained) until he said he wanted to make it 100 to go and the floor was called over, checked with the chip runners and found out the guy wasnt owed any chips. Sometimes you just gotta let [censored] go- especially in [censored] limit. |
