I would just tell him that you feel sorry for his kids if they have to wear shoes won at a 50NL table.

Re: People being jackasses when they stack you
There are a lot of Tx combos Villain could have (quads is not such a rarity anymore when trips are on the board, and this becomes more true as the card in question gets bigger).
There are also a lot of PP combos he could have. He could have been sandbagging a flush instead of a T on the turn and decided to raise (maybe partly in frustration) despite the trips on the board on the river. 5x and 2x aren't out of the question either. Neither is a bluff-raise, although that possibility doesn't really affect your decision. Anyway, raising him all-in for another $10.12 seems fine to me. If his remaining stack were larger, I'd start becoming more hesitant. |

question about hand
I apologize if this is an ignorant newbie question, but ...
why check at the turn? I'd be inclined to bet about 1/3 to 1/2 the pot - if my opponent called or raised, I'd put him on either trip tens or a flush draw. I would have been relieved to see the 3rd ten on the river, though - and not hestitated to go all-in. |

Re: People being jackasses when they stack you
If table trash talk gets under your skin and sends you on the pathway to tiltyness - you are playing the wrong game.
Just before I left all things poker for a while this kind of stuff *really* wound me up and then my game fell apart - since I came back I am zen like and calm and don't let people get to me. All types of people play online poker - some of them are dicks - get over it. The best way to beat these people is not to let them throw you off your game and outplay them later. Nowadays I'm only using the chatbox to type "nh" if I get beat - to jump to the defense of some poor donkey who's getting berated and might leave the table otherwise - or to try and tilt someone that I can read inside out if they start being obnoxious to me. |

Online, you can't do much. Live, you can do what I heard at the Venetian last month. Foreign Woman repeatedly chirps and berates as she stacks someone's chips. Guy who got tired of it finally says, "Lady, if you were a man someone'd just kick your ass, so man up or shut up." And I just call the river. [/ QUOTE ] That's absolutely hilarious. Man up or Shut up. I love it. |
