if you do indeed bet the river, it's very close. I think meta game edges it towards call

Do I suck cuz I fold PF?

I think its an easy river bet given the action. I also call at 9-1 cuz I want to see what he has.

I used to fold preflop and am experimenting with opening my range for colding in the sb to a button open. So to answer your question, I don't know

I would say check/call is much better then bet/fold in this situation.

I think people seriously underestimate the power of the check/call. Inducing bluffs is sweet. I am sure I have made up a decent amount from river bluff bets that I lost by having a worse hand check behind.

The way you played it, the river is a call you get sucked into having to make without a strong read on the guy. That was a draw heavy board on the flop and he might be bluffing you off of your draw (even though he would then be on a draw himself). I think 1 in 9 times you win this hand against this guy. Plus you get a little better read on the guy for future situations.

I would fold preflop, but youre experimenting so do your thing and see how it works out. The rest of the hand is standard until the river. Betting is obviously the best play on the river, whether to call the raise or not is close IMO. I would want to fold here, and thats what I would probably do.

Definitely bet the river. This looks enough like a bluff raise that I call it.
