Default Play at Party from within the US?

Is it possible to play at Party from within the US if you set up an account using a foreign address?

What about the Ongame(pokerroom) group or Paradise?

I have friends and family that would allow me to set up an account in their name if it would allow me to play at these sites.

Anyone have any experience playing at banned sites from within the US? All comments and suggestions are appreciated.

I tired to change my adress on an existing party account rather than cashing out, but it was locked

couldn't you just pay someone to make an account in say canada, then "buy it from them" and play as them? (changing the password of course)

I haven't tried it, but that's what I figured some people were doing.

Or do they check IP addresses? If they do that, couldn't you just route it through somewhere in say canada?

Sure and when they call you sometime for verification and they can't reach you they freeze your account and maybe seze it.

Sounds like a sound plan

This is a good point. I logged into Party once and it said my account was suspended. I rang them and it was indeed because they had phoned and received no answer.

She told me to put down the phone and she would ring me back. She didn't. I rang back and this went on for about 4 hours because she kept writing down the wrong number.

I think the country you are playing from would be given away be your IP address. They have most likely blocked all IP address's that originate from the US.
