Excused Absence Documentation

Beat: Slept thru midterm..... anyone have any ideas for fabricating documentation for an excused absence?

Tell the truth, trust me it's better than getting kicked out of school. Didn't happen to me but I've seen it result from what you're talking about. At Oklahoma State it's classified "academic dishonesty" which pretty much means automatic expulsion. Take a W if you have to, [censored] happens.

I did this once and left a message on the tacher's phone as soon as the class period was over, explaining that I overslept. She was very understanding and allowed me to take it the next class . (She could probably tell that I wasn't b/sing her by the panic in my voice in the message.

However, if you have a teacher that won't budge no matter what, I would go with death in the family over being sick. And make sure you e-mail the professor right away explaining the situation to him.

go to hospital, tell them the voices in your head won't stop. get laid up for a day, date on the admit will be today. then tell them you're fine and bounce.

Actually, Noah's idea is a good one, albeit a bit too extreme. If you go to the doctor/clinic and tell them you are having massive panic attacks, social phobias, etc, you can easily get out of this mess. These are the types of illnesses that can be presented after the fact (hard to fake the flu after missing the exam). Make sure you are familiar with all the relevant symptoms (google it) before going.

I think it would be easier to use something family related - for instance, tell your prof that your father had chest pains last night, and you went home, and forgot about the exam.

Yeah I arrived an hour late to a 1.5 hour midterm. The prof just laughed at me, handed me the test, and told me to go finish it in his office.
