BTW, JJ Liu was playing in a mega at a friend of mine's table, and nobody except him knew who she was. The table kept commenting on her poor play, and wondered how she got such a big stack.

Arrrgh JJ Liu!!! This Tuesday at Lucky Chances Gold Rush $330 tourney, she cracked my AQ<AJ aipf on the FT bubble for 1/3 of the chips in play. We were pretty much the two biggest stacks at the time, and obv she went on to win it. Oh apparently, her husband got 2nd, and she folded KK face-up to him on the FT at one point after she raised, and he re-raised. I wasn't there to see that though, just what i was told the next day so I can't confirm it actually being true.

Driving from the Bay area, I always take 80 when I'm heading up to Tahoe or Reno. Since I'm going to SLT should I be taking 50 instead? I haven't taken that route before, how's the road?

I just got back. Good times. The tables were really friendly and active. I busted out 80/484 on Friday when I lost a race late and about 150/400 on Saturday. Way up in cash games.

I was surprised that I couldn't get an Omaha game running. They wouldn't even start an interest list.

I was also surprised how ugly and slow the waitresses were. Getting any beer was a twenty minute process.

Definitely going back next year...

It's supposed to get colder this week. It snowed one night this past weekend and they were requiring chains, but they cleared it off by the next day.

The ones I saw over the weekend were damn cute, friendly, and quick. Outside of the poker room was a different story.
