Default New hope for liberals

[ QUOTE ]
Doctors have their first proof that a man who was barely conscious for nearly 20 years regained speech and movement because his brain spontaneously rewired itself by growing tiny new nerve connections to replace the ones sheared apart in a car crash.

Tough luck for Terry Schiavo she didn't get that chance.

3) Don't merely troll or flame.

4) Content-rich posting is good, and provides much for discussion. It also helps you make your points far more effectively.

It's interesting that the religous right, a group 'dedicated' to the belief in an afterlife, is so afraid of death. It's almost as if they really don't believe that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

ALso, do you have a link?

If you checked the Drudgereport every day as you should you would have seen the link, but here it is: linky .

This happened 3 years ago and I think the only reason it got picked up was that his case was the subject of a documentary last week on TV that I saw, on the History Channel IIRC. Although he can now talk, he has no shorterm memory and can only remember things from before his injury 20 years or so ago. This is especially sad because his daughter whom he only remembers as a baby, can't get him to understand who she is today.

Unlikely from a persistent vegitative state, though I wonder what stem cells might bring in the future for many types of brain injury.

Firstly it wasn't even remotely funny and secondly there are other places for this type of "humor". You'd probably get [censored] if you posted this in OOT though. Try LOL, perhaps you'll find your natural homeground.
