I am folding, might as well conserve our chips for a better hand, if villian has been active the limp could actually be a big hand. Not to mention if you limp, it will look like a prize stealing oppurtuinty for the CO or button who could easily shove and take this down or even one of the blinds. I would fold, save the chips and try to avoid marginal situations without odds, and most probably by the time preflop is done, without position.

I like a check here, for a few reasons. Since our opponent is loose he may have completly whiffed the pot and still call. We also may not be able to represent the flush if we bet on the flop and it comes in on the turn. I like a check because there are a lot of cards that can come on the turn any club and any straight card that will alow us to take this hand away with minimal risk. I just see a c/r or c/c to often in this situation against this opponent for it to be profitable. I mean if he had a pair he would bet, if he had AK he would bet, if he had two overs or two overs and a draw he is check raising, which means he could be slowplaying an over pair, a set, or have two overs which he could either c/r or check call. Not only this, but you may gain a lot of value when your straight card comes in and you fire a bet on the turn and river with your opponent thinking it to be a bluff, as he stacks off with KK or a set.

I limp pre. I need to be a bit deeper to raise pre, and preferably in a bit later position.

Now that you got yourself in this spot you have two options:

Bet 2000, shove just about any turn. If he CRAI on the flop it's going to be close to a call idk run the numbers.

Bet 800. If he check raises to 2500 you shove with some fold equity (since yes people really do CR fold at these stacks at this level) and if he calls you check back on turn.

You're shoving like 3X pot are you not? I don't think shoving is horrible or anything like that, but i don't think its optimal. Plus some players immediately assume its a draw (more likely FD in this case) since nobody shoves 3X pot for value.
