KQs in reraised pot, all streets debatable.
Ultimate Bet
No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1./$2. 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $102.75 UTG+1: $81 Hero: $243.25 Button: $222.75 SB: $272.20 BB: $86 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 folds, Hero raises to $7, Button calls, SB raises to $30, BB folds, Hero calls, Button folds. I've been 3betted quite alot by this guy. And decided to see a flop here with a decent hand and position. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($69, 2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. Flop is ok for me, but I feel like I'm WA/WB here so I check, and I don't really want to play a big pot. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($69, 2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. Turn is good for me as it gives me the NFD but it could also easily have hit him and so I check again because I don't want to be blown off my hand. River: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($69, 2 players) SB bets $69, Hero ?? Then he donk pots the river and I'm really lost. Also this is my first shot at 1/2 so I might've played with that at the back of my mind. |

His line just looks so strange to me, either it's a big hand or an underpair, maybe TT and he hit his money card, but why would he pot it instead of valuebetting. It's not like there were many draws on the flop that he could be bluffing with.

i think i would bet the turn here also, if he calls then you know hes not bluffing the river, 2/3 pot turn and check/fold the rest

Yeah I probably should've bet turn, I think I played it a little scared since it was for double my normal stakes
So bet/fold turn and c/fold river (unless I hit obv) |

Re: KQs in reraised pot, all streets debatable.
i like all streets actually....
i like pf b/c of history and the fact you have pos. i like the flop check b/c you are either way ahead or way behind. i like the turn check b/c you have a mediocre hand that can't stand a raise but a great draw the river is close. villain could have a bluff, villain could have AK or a monster. i call depending on my image at the table or a gut feeling. its important to remember that often in these close situations calling ~= folding, so its not really a mistake either way. to those who say bet the turn... why? is there a lot of value here? do we benefit from most free cards? what hand sucks out on us? |

Re: KQs in reraised pot, all streets debatable.
I think there's a fair chance that villain has an a here and if he does he's probably gonna raise any turn bet. If he folds to a turn bet I probably wouldn't have gotten any more value no matter what happened.
If he calls and I miss I'm faced with an even worse situation on the river. |
