Default Removing processes from startup

I have several processes that I don't want to run on startup on XP. Things like ipodservice.exe and sdhelp.exe and mim.exe. How can I prevent these things from loading instead of having to manually kill them after each start up?

Start > Run > msconfig > Start up tab > uncheck any processes you don't want to run at startup.

I've been using Startup Control Panel to manage startup entries for a few years now. It's a great piece of software.
