A question about M
Hey I was just thinking about what harrington says in his book which I believe is that once you hit M < 5, you should be super aggro to get your money in the middle.
My question is even at an M of 5 you have over 10bbs, and isnt pushing so huge preflop with a much wider range of hands causing your opponents to only call you when you are wayyyyy behind?? I would appreciate some thoughts thanks |

Re: A question about M
Wrong forum,
and not really a question that can be answered with a simple yes or no (as usual). But in general, you should be pushing very wide from LP with 10 BBs or less, and not so wide from EP. However, there are factors that affect this, including antes, tightness of players left (i.e. their calling ranges), stack sizes, ante sizes etc. See this thread for an example of how wide you should be pushing in some circumstances. The best way to learn pushing/calling ranges is probably to play SNGs/play with SNGWiz/SNG Power Tools (google them). |
