Re: $16 - TT on 884 board
Preflop call is meh. I'd muck it this early in the tourney. OOP against two aggressors with middle pair is not exactly a nice place to be, as you found out.
I like to lead this flop with about 250. It's paired and ragged, so a big bet from SB will be very difficult to call for them, unless they have an overpair. So, I'll lead out and that's pretty much all the money I am willing to commit in this hand. I don't like check-calling here vs two preflop aggressors. We'll be pretty much forced to fold to any turn bet unless we turn a ten, so why even bother. Jamming the flop is LOL. |

[ QUOTE ]
Preflop, I think UTG will often call and you get nice odds to get a set at least. Calling seems > folding to me. [/ QUOTE ] I don't agree. Hero is getting about 2.5:1 preflop assuming UTG comes along. That's pretty slim to play for set value, even looking at implied odds. I'd play this in a cash game, but not in the first level of an SNG. There will be better spots to spend your t100, IMHO. |

Re: $16 - TT on 884 board
I'm calling preflop here, and I guess fold the turn.
