Wildly varied. 8 figures for upper partners in a good year. 9 figures for founders in a good yr. THere are thousands of hedge funds of all levels of assets. It's impossible to answer that general a question. 29 yr old guy i know at a fund last yr (he had a great yr at the fund, the fund had a mediocre yr) made $3m. I have a friend just got an offer for only $125k at a $200m fund, but significant ownership interest if he has a good first year. I know its not hard for a second year harvard MBA type to make $1m in NYC a second yr. Hedge fudns are highly variable -- they have hugely different comp plans...many are very performance oriented and your P&L has a major impact. Some, when you ar young, work much less this way.

CHTR is my biggest holding (already disclosed in biggest holding thread).

Again, the devil is in the details on your other question. I dont know Christman, and Giuliani I thought was an advisory firm.

In terms of the others...it all depends on what you are actually going to DO. Goldman would be my number 1 choice everything else being equal, but it rarely is. You need to work with people who will teach you, who will reference you, and ideally will offer you a job out of school. In terms of brand, I would say MS or and GS...then CSFB and UBS and maybe ML. But it all depends on the department you are talking about.

In summary -- choosing jobs is a combo of brand equity, relevance to you future goals and option value on a future job either directly at that firm or through strong references.

Do you mean, for example what would I pay for $1 of EPS in a stock? If that is your question, its entirely tied up in growth rates and steadiness/riskiness of the income stream. Again, there is no way to answer that question without more detail.
