Well, I bet $50 on the turn... this is exactly what I'd bet with a big pair. The problem is, I bet kind of small with a big pair to induce a call, and unfortunately he did in fact call. What do you guys think of this bet sizing? Hard to know what level these guys are thinking on.

River was 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], I suppose I should definitely give up now, but in fact I shoved for like $47 into a $197 pot.

I would rather shove than bet $50 because no one folds a full house, so to maximize the chances he folds I'd bet a lot more. We have just over a PSB left anyways, and betting $50 leaves you feeling really weird on the river when you have to c/f it. Put the most pressure on him by shoving, or just c/f. $50 doesn't accomplish much at all.
