Default I\'m a limit donkey 3/6 stars 6 man - I got killd

I’m more of a tournament no limit player, needing to work on my limit game. I’m going to post a few hands. They probably suck, but I’d appreciate knowing why. 6 handed 3/6 limit on stars.

First hand – QdJs in BB. SB calls. I check. Flop [9h Kh As] Both check. I’ll take a free card for the inside straight draw. If I had a king or ace I would’ve PF raised so I can’t put either of us on one of those cards. Turn [Ks] check check. River Ah. Check check. Should I have bet at some point? No, because only better hands would call me, right? Result in white: <font color="white"> I win- he has J6o.</font>

Second hand – about five hands later I have KsQd UTG. Raise. Next player calls, button and BB call. $24 in the pot. Flop [2c 8d Qc]. BB checks. I bet, next player pauses for a while before calling, 2 more calls. $36 in the pot. Turn [6h]. I bet. 2 calls and a fold. River [8s]. I bet. He calls. Result in white: <font color="white"> I lose, he has 89o. </font>

Third hand – next hand. [Qc As] in BB. 2nd position raises. Button calls. I call. Should I have re-raised? [2d 9s 3c] flop. He bets. Button folds. I call. Bad call? I’ve got two overs. [9h] turn, he bets I call. River 3d. Now I stop being a calling station and bet, figuring we both have an ace = split pot which in hindsight is a stupid time to make a bet. He raises, I call. Results – <font color="white"> he had 9T for full house. </font>

Fourth hand – about five hands later, TT 3rd position. UTG folds, 2nd position raises, I 3 bet. Folds to raiser who calls. [7d 5d 7s]

He checks. I bet he calls. [Kc] he checks, I bet he raises. I fold.

Fifth hand – next hand. KTo 2nd position. UTG folds, I raise. Call, fold, blinds both call. [Ks 2h 3c] bet, call call. [Ad] if I check here, that advertises that I don’t have an ace. So I bet. Get raised. Fold. I guess I was going to fold to a raise, I should have checked?

Sixth hand – pocket kings UTG. Raise. Blinds call. [4d 7h 5d] SB bets. BB calls. I raise. They call. Tc turn. Check check, I bet. Call call. Jd river. Checks around. Result – <font color="white">lose to J5o. </font>

Seventh hand – about 5 hands later, QTo in third position. Call a raise from 2nd position. [Js Ad 2s] . raiser bets, I fold.

Eighth hand – KQo UTG. Raise. Only one person folds.(=the table decided they should stay if I'm in a hand&gt;???) [5h Ac Js] checked to me, I bet. 2 calls, 2 folds. [2h] I check-call and one player folds. [4c] &amp; I check-fold.

BB hand - [8h 7h] UTG and button call, I check. 5h 2c 7d] I bet, one call. [Jc] turn. I bet, fold.

Next BB hand – As6s. call a button raise. [7h Th Qc] check-fold

so what am I doing wrong, folks?

Default Re: I\'m a limit donkey 3/6 stars 6 man - I got killd

In the future try not to post so many hands at once. Even if they're in the same thread.

Hand 1: Raise preflop. Not sure if I find a bet on the flop or turn as played. River I definitely don't bet unless he's so bad it's for value; the AAKK counterfeits any random pairs he might have so every relevant hand that hit the board is a full house and they never fold.

Hand 2 is perfect, lol @ your opponent.

Hand 3 is horrible. In a shorthanded game it's pretty much an automatic 3bet (in tighter fullring games it can be close between 3betting and calling). After you call the flop call is razor thin, on the turn you sometimes have the best hand but OOP I don't care enough to find out given how small you've kept the pot. The river bet/call is a huge mistake as you seem to realize.

Hand 4 you could make a case for calling down but I don't mind the fold.

Hand 5 the postflop action is unclear (who called? Where are they in relation to you?).

Hand 6 you might call and raise the turn but the flop raise is also fine. I think I can find a value bet on the river.

Hand 7 fold preflop, not close

Hand 8 I'd check the flop against that many opponents. You don't have odds to checkcall the turn, either fire again or check hoping to see a checkthrough.

Hand 9, 10 good
