Default Re: I just blew my bankroll on blackjack....

I've done something similar. Been playing winning poker for 3 years or so, but i've always had a problem with losing. Not so much the money, just the fact that i "wasted" two hours playing only to lose a buy in.

If i had a roll of 2000$ i would simply go crazy if i ended a session at something like 1997$. I would then do whatever i could to get above the magic number of 2000. This resultet in me blowing my entire bankroll (2500$, on the roulette) trying to win back 25 bucks.

I can laugh at it now, and i realise that i've had to change my idea of poker. Now i don't care if my aces get broken, i'm just happy to get the money in good. Lately i've rarely felt angry or frustrated after bad beats, and this has made poker so much more fun. Also i seem to win more money now, than i did before

Take this lesson and change your perception of poker. Make it a challenge to outplay you'r opponents and be happy when you do, and be happy when they hit their miracle card (they paid for the change to hit it right?)

Have fun rebuilding and stay away from house games
