TPGK against 3 barrels from a LAG
Villain is 26/25/6.3
Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $169.20 UTG+1: $329.75 CO: $187 Button: $32 SB: $254.75 hero: $198.90 Pre-flop: (6 players) hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $8, 3 folds, hero calls. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($17, 2 players) hero checks, UTG+1 bets $12, hero calls. Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($41, 2 players) hero checks, UTG+1 bets $29, hero calls. River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($99, 2 players) hero checks, UTG+1 bets $72, hero folds. Uncalled bets: $72 returned to UTG+1. Results: Final pot: $99 1) Is this a raise-or-fold situation preflop, or is a call fine here once a while against this type of villain? If it's raise/fold, which frequencies do you recommend? 2) Would it be spew to throw in a raise at some point postflop to find out where we are at? How bout leading flop or turn? 3) The river is a clear fold, right? Or did I play this so weak that a call is + EV? |

Sorry, jsut want to bump it once because I'm very curious about this hand and want to see if the evening shift has any feedback.

Re: TPGK against 3 barrels from a LAG
Against this villain I 3 bet PF nearly 100% of the time..
As played I think you have to call that river..Villain is very aggro and your hand was played like a draw or a weak hand that villain think he can blow you off of.. |

Re: TPGK against 3 barrels from a LAG
his stats are more lagtaggish but w/ever.
1. i think callings fine though rring's probably better since you're ahead of his range though not by much. 2. if you're ahead let him keep betting, if you're behind you save money by not raising. 3. i don't think it's a clear fold with his stats but it's close to one. have you seen him fire three shells before? does he always c-bet, does he bet fast like he's on autopilot? i probably fold but im looking for a reason to call him. |

His c-bet rate is 50%. Haven't been paying real close attention, so can't recall a spot where he 3-barreled before.

you have to FOLD this river [/ QUOTE ] He's vb AT here REALLY REALLY rarely, and people just don't 3-barrel all that much, so plz lets have less of the "ZOMG, HE RAISES PREFLOP 25% OF THE TIME, HE'S OBV BLUFFING THIS RIVER" |

Re: TPGK against 3 barrels from a LAG
As played, I'm not folding this ever against someone that aggro.
But I'm also not for playing it so passively. On that flop you're good more than 75% of the time I think - check/RAISE that flop to 36. AB |

If OP calls the turn the river is a call, if you are folding the hand the turn is the place IMO. |
