Default Summer transfers

Thought I would start the soccer summer transfer thread.

Biggest story so far is that Henry is staying at Arsenal. Apparently they turned down 50 million pound bids from Real Madrid and Barcelona. As Henry said I'll never go to Spain. Barcelona are apparently going after Forlan.

Sevilla have set aside 15-18 million euros to pick up a striker. I fear that we sell Daniel Alves and have more to spend. Apparenlty Barça, Liverpool and AC Milan are interested. Saviola has said he wants to go to Sevilla permanently. I would love that. It's also rumored by some around Sevilla that Reyes wants to return. He has yet to adjust well to life in London apparently.

Not really a big deal since its only the transfer thats as close to being completed as it can get without being completed, but it should make Chelsea into an even better team. Michael Ballack going over from Bayern Munich.

I would be happy with a Ruud for Diarra swap.

what's up with the chelsea situation for forwards. I don't get any news here. do they not want to put all their eggs in Crespo's basket anymore? he seemed to be getting a terrific number of chances in the games I saw him (though he also did have a lot of misses I guess, but that's just how the game is generally--or not?). I personally have some partiality for Gudjohnsen, but he seems to be losing favor (though he still seems to be pretty effective coming out of deep midfield).

So, what--Crespo plus superstar #2? Or no more Crespo?
