Default 100 NL River value?

Villian is 23/12/1 over a decent sample and seems solid.
Am I loosing money by not betting the river here? I have a habit of checking in these situations as against a tight player I don't see a hand that I beat calling.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($104.25)
BB ($98.50)
UTG ($50.85)
UTG+1 ($56)
MP1 ($107)
Hero ($78.50)
MP3 ($64.80)
CO ($90.50)
Button ($81.40)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $4</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($8.50) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $5</font>, BB calls $5.

Turn: ($18.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($18.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: $18.50

Your flop beat was pretty weak. I would definitely bet the turn here and probably check behind on river.
As played I think you should make another smallish bet as you will surely get value from lesser hands; fold to a raise b/c he could have JT or something.

Checking through isn't terrible. I'm not sure what weaker hands would call a flop bet and pay off on the river (QJ is about it) He is passive enough that he might play AJ like this.

However, i probably fire one of the two street. There aren't really any draws so either street would work.

$5 is my standard HU in pos, an extra $1 isn't going to make him fold and I'm keeping the pot small.

I will normally bet the turn here against most opponenets, but do you really think hes drawing OOP? If not im only scaring away worse hands w/ a bet on the turn. My plan was to call most rivers pick to off any worse hands.

Flawed thinking?
