Let's talk about something more productive like why does anyone like Clapton...he is truly the most over-rated guitar wanker of all time. [/ QUOTE ] QFT |

Re: Springsteen Concert
I was at the show last night as well. I was also at night 2 of Philly. BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE is the greatest american rock star of all-time.
There are two types of people in the world: 1) those that love Bruce 2) those that have never seen him live. Also apparently last night, they had some keyboard technical issues... we were supposed to get "Backstreets" (damn it!) and "Incident on 57th street". Still a great show... looking forward to the stadium tours next summer - where we'll get more songs, deeper from the vault. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Haven't heard it yet, but everything I've read has been positive. Saying Bruce was only cool 30 years ago is like saying Clapton was only cool 30 years ago. He is on fire today. [/ QUOTE ] ZOMG... there's a special ring of hell for those who compare Clapton to Springsteen. Clapton is God... Springsteen is an alterboy. [/ QUOTE ] speaking of which.... just imagine the status of such acts as: <ul type="square">[*]Beatles[*]Jimi Hendrix[*]The Doors [*]Led Zeppelin[*]The Who [/list] etc... if they were still around today... [/ QUOTE ] LOL - at least pretend you know something about music. "imagine if the Who were still around". I saw them last year, you troll. Ironically, I happen to like all the artists you named (though I'm not a Hendrix guy), but that has nothing to do with appreciating Springsteen. |

TBH the one that just came out, Magic, isn't bad at all. Especially when you compare it to the awful stuff bands like the Stones and Bob Dylan have done late in their careers. [/ QUOTE ]Bob Dylan has had some pretty solid albums recently. Love and Theft was pretty good imo, and Modern Times really isn't bad for someone 65 who smoked their whole life. |

Re: Springsteen Concert
The Magic is his best reviewed CD in 20+ years. Obv reviews don't mean that much, but a bunch of the songs from the album were awesome at the show last night.
