Default How to alienate prospective roommate?

Good afternoon folks.

I'm a sophomore at Boston College and currently have a triple to myself (both my roommates dropped out at the start of school). Everything was going swell until I got this email today:

Dear TT_fold,

I am writing to inform you that a student by the name of XXXXXXX will be coming by your room in 66 this weekend to meet you. He is looking to do a room change. Currently, you are living alone in a triple, so you should be prepared to get a new roommate(s) at any time. Please make sure that the room is ready and that you make him feel welcome.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

[/ QUOTE ]

For obvious reasons, I'd prefer to keep this room to myself. I received an email from the student who is looking to move in asking to come check out the place tomorrow afternoon.

Does anyone have some creative ideas on how to make him feel unwelcome? The idea is not for me to get kicked out of the room, so I can't brandish a weapon or anything of that sort. I just don't want an unknown moving in.

Pretend like you're gay.

Not that there is anything wrong with it.

get a fart bomb and throw it on your clothes. stand as close to you can while talking to him. also just generally stink out the room as much as you can. comment how you dont wash. even comment that you have a phobia against water. an hour or so later sit on your bed facing the wall and start rocking back and forward, with the occasional demented sounding groan.

that should do the trick.

This seems like the obvious play. Just act really gay and touch him a lot. Although, be prepared for it to backfire...

pull everything out of your closets and drawers, spread it along the floor and just show him exactly how tidy you are.

If he asks whether you'll clean it up if he moves in, 'no' is the appropriate phrase

This is really assholeish, and you'll need to do it a lot.

Still entertaining though.

Sounds like from that letter they might put someone in with you randomly, so you might want to check that out. Ie make sure you dont reject a good guy, and then have them say you've been assigned someone.

Probbaly not good when they actualy have to assign someone.

Don't do any of that gay stuff like talk about not showering, just have a messy room b/c nobody wants to live in a messy room. Other stuff like rocking back and forth will look fake and he'll see through it.
