[/ QUOTE ] That's was the point of my post. Why should any business be allowed to "have you at their mercy." Would you give your business to a store who decided to take your payment for a shirt but then the manager came out and said that because you tried on too many shirts you wouldn't be allowed to take it but they would keep your money? And you had no recourse? What if every store had this policy so there was no other place you could shop? And what if on some shifts the managers didn't care and let you try on as many shirts as you wanted so that you never knew when your money would be confiscated?

The other day I bought some tickets online to a concert, paid for it with a credit card with my name on it, and was allowed to complete the transaction. I got to the venue, I'm not on the willcall list, so I buy another ticket. Get home, turns out for some reason they didn't have my name on the order form. Contact them, they tell me I can't pick up tickets without a name. They also tell me all sales are final. They sold me something that was impossible for me to receive.
I've complained, but in the end is $25 worth the likely hours of hassle? So yeah, other companies also seem comfortable with blatantly stealing.

I hate to keep harping on this point but this is just another example of a casino stealing a players money and the player having no recourse. In what other situation would we allow a business to simply give our money to another person just because a manager said we had to? Randy, as someone who has worked in casino's for a long time and has read all the posts here do you think that there is any way possible to get casino's to have some kind of accountability for their employee's decision making? [/ QUOTE ] Understand that the floorperson may have gotten this decision correct under the rules of that cardroom. It would be a bad set of rules, but it may be the actual rules.

You paid with a credit card and you have an actual document that was mailed to you with your card that lists all remedies available to you, including how to initiate a chargeback or fraudulent transaction claim. Credit card transactions are governed by federal and state laws.
