Default IRS Audit more likely???

Just wondering if there are any ex-IRS people who could comment on the idea that you could be more likely to be audited by the IRS if you are ACHing from your bank account into a poker site?

Default Re: IRS Audit more likely???

The IRS is only going to care if you send money to a poker site although they may pay attention if you have large amounts of money coming back from these sites and and no corresponding income claim. The IRS doesn't care as much about where you get the money as whether you pay taxes on it. Deductions for a professional gambler are more likely to be scrutinized than money transfers to/from a poker site.
