66 OOP against loose passive
These decisions are keeping me up at night. I'm sure small/mid PP are one of my biggest leaks. How should I play this hand? Villain 57/16/1.5 after 70 hands.

Re: 66 OOP against loose passive
Your opponent is much more of a LAG than a loose-passive.
Ordinarily, I would recommend a flop checkraise, but that's not a particularly good flop for you. So, I don't know. Calling doesn't seem so bad. Maybe you should checkraise anyway. Folding seems like a consideration too. (Jeez. That was helpful, huh?) You picked up some outs on the turn, but we still can't trust a 9 or 6 all that much. Calling there seems all right to me. Once we've made it to the river, I wouldn't fold HU versus this guy. |

Re: 66 OOP against loose passive
Fold flop seems easy.
I hate doing it, but seems quite correct. I'm not sure what a button coldcalling range is, but i'm guessing he hit the flop somehow. If you are ahead, he probably has overcards (maybe like KJ), so you aren't ahead by much. |

Re: 66 OOP against loose passive
I'm not sure i call on flop. Even if a 9 comes it would be very easy for MP or button to have a J. OOP it sucks to make the second best hand.

Re: 66 OOP against loose passive
I don't understand the flop call. I fold this flop and feel good about my decision.
edit: It's a bad bad flop for you. Even if you are ahead I doubt you have that high of equity, and those times you are behind you have almost no equity. |

Re: 66 OOP against loose passive
I'd fold the flop. Even if you are ahead, there are about 8 million cards that would sink you.

Re: 66 OOP against loose passive
Yeah the problem is the flop. The rest of the streets are straightforward: if I hit or pick up an extra draw then great, if not I fold.
It that old problem of reverse implied odds - mid to small PP just don't play well |

Re: 66 OOP against loose passive
I misread the hand. I thought Button was the guy who raised preflop.
Since he cold-called instead, I'm thinking a flop fold is the way to go. |
