NL25SH Good spot for a bluff c/r?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
MP ($17.15) CO ($24.15) Button ($8.35) Hero ($24.75) BB ($25.50) UTG ($24.15) Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $1</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.90, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>. Flop: ($2.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $1.8</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3.6</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $6</font>, Hero folds. Final Pot: $9.45 so, okay I tried to c/r villain here (representig a small pp, calld on setvalue), who seems so play a solid 23/18/4TAG style. Maybe not a good play on NL25? Maybe the minraise was the problem? |

Re: NL25SH Good spot for a bluff c/r?
Min raise was the problem. If you're going to c/r make it decent, more like $6. There are very few times when you should minraise and I don't think this is one of them.
I don't mind the c/r but I would be kind of lost what to do o turn if villain just calls. |

Re: NL25SH Good spot for a bluff c/r?
Bet the flop, c/r'ing turns a hand with showdown value into a bluff.
Either lead the flop or c/c the flop and lead the turn folding to raises either time. |
