Default Live 8/16 river easy VB?

Not too tight game of 8/16 at Normandie Casino in ghetto a$s Gardena, CA. I raise UTG+1 with JcJh, MP calls, SB calls, BB folds. Flop:Qh2h3h, SB leads, I raise, MP folds, SB 3bets, I call. Turn: 8c, SB bets, I call. River Jd, SB checks, I bet(?).

How are you not betting this? You can afford to call a raise but most likely he has something like AhQ or even a weaker hand and will just call. This bet is all value, baby.

I have a question about the turn call here. The SB bet into the pre-flop raiser on the flop and 3 bet when raised. The SB then bet again on the turn. He is certainly acting like he has a strong hand. It could be AQ, Q3, Q2, or Qx. It could also be a flush, since there were three hearts on the flop. The SB also could have put the hero on AK with the early position raise and figured that he completely missed the flop, so SB might be trying to steal the pot with little or nothing.

If the SB has a heart flush, hero is drawing dead. If the SB has top pair or two pair, then hero has 2 outs. I think the pot is offering 7-1 on the turn bet. If the hero has only 2 outs here, that is 22-1, so the SB better have a weak hand and be bluffing half of the time here to make this call right. I guess this call depends on the read on SB. If he were an aggressive player, I would call down here. Against a complete unknown, I guess I would call down too. Against the kind of weak, passive player I see in a lot of low limit live games, I would fold to the turn bet. Is this thinking wrong?

Given that you called on the turn, and the SB checked the river, absolutely value bet.

I think both these statements are incorrect. I think this is an easy call down.

It's a big pot and there is a very real chance that hero has the best hand.

I did not notice that the hero has the Jh, so he does have more outs.

I am use to playing in more lose/passive games than the online LL games. Most of those players would never 3 bet a flop without a big hand, especially on a single suite flop. There are a few aggressive, tricky players that do try it against the tight players and an occasional maniac.

I had a maniac cap the flop and raise my bet on the turn with absolutely nothing last week. Allowed me to win a big pot with an unimproved QQ. However, this was the first time I saw someone playing like that in many months. Wish I could find more of them.
