I think I'd do the same without reads.

That's tough. Going from $15 to $93 is quite the jump. You're only getting called here by big slick, maybe, or bullets-QQs. You'd likely learn the same thing from making it $45 to go.

Fold to the gigantic 3 bet, you played the great up until calling all in
did he have AA or KK ? |

Re: new to nl cash!! whats my line with QQ SHanded
My standard line would be to call the re-raise and see a flop. Having position on Villain makes me far less inclined to 3 bet PF.
I don't think I have ever 3-bet all-in PF with QQ unless I was pot committed, or very shortstacked. |

Re: new to nl cash!! whats my line with QQ SHanded
You need reads bro. That's what poker is all about. Without reads, just fold preflop and wait until you get some. A raise to only 3 times the big blind from OOP makes it seem to me that he doesn't really fear being outflopped.
Your image is also an important factor. Without reads our knowledge of your image, it is hard to help you. A pair of queens is not a good hand to commit a near full stack with againdst an unknown IMO. |

Re: new to nl cash!! whats my line with QQ SHanded
until you have better reads on the players i don't hate folding to his reraise preflop. it seems weak, but against an unknown i usually assume that he's not making this play with less than QQ/AK, MAYBE JJ which doesn't bode well for us.

[/ QUOTE ] I think that is far too weak. I think you are nearly getting the implied odds to call PF for set value vs AA and KK. How many people at this level can lay down AA/KK on a Queen-high flop? Against AK, we're getting immediate odds to call. |
