Default Live Holiday Turnout Impact

In your experience do most holidays make for better live games or not?
For me, the Sunday morning on Mother's Day @ Borgata proved to behave the toughest table I've seen all year. July 4th (hell, the whole summer) provided fish aplenty.
My theory is certain holidays obligate most fish and other "less hardcore" types away from casinos. What do you think?

I agree about your theory. On a different note, once I read an article where someone noticed that the play tightened up minutes into the new year from the type of play exhibited less than an hour earlier. Players may have been trying to play "better" by playing tighter. Conversely, you might see more donkish play on weekends like memorial day weekend when excess and indulgence seem to be the mode for gambling types.
