Default 3bet Pot, Villain Owns Me

Villain is 20/12/3 thru 400ish. He has literally been winning almost every pot we've played together for the past hour. He's snapped off 3 of my cbets and one double barrel and generally owns me of late. I know that calling is preferred by some players pf and that line is perfectly fine, but I didn't call so let's please not discuss pf.

With the stacks being a bit deeper, I thought the small cbet on the flop gives me much more room to play later if I choose to. Obv we can just c/f, but I'm curious if we like another barrel at all.

the only way I can 2nd barell here is if you are confident that villian could be calling without a significant hand preflop and on the flop because he believes his run over you will make it easier to outplay you.

overall i agree with ikestoys and i'd give up.

Calling preflop is definitely not standard 4-handed.

I don't think a 20/12 opens his range up that much 4 handed UTG. 99 is only slightly ahead of a 12% opening range and is in pretty bad shape against his 3bet calling range. For these reasons I much prefer just calling pf.

Betting the turn seems bad to me.
