Re: River WTF?
Easy fold. I can't think of anything you're beating. And if your opponent is at least a little bit sensible he puts you on an ace.

Re: River WTF?
Yeah I didn't put it right. The fact he's going AI with two aces on the board tells me he's not affraid of hero having an ace. In fact this bet looks to me like he's hoping hero has smth like AJ, AQ so he will get a call.

Re: River WTF?
I can see a fold here, the pot isn't huge and so far your not hurt. Secondly, It's an easy call to. If he wants a call he wouldn't be pushing this hard. Personally I fold. My fears he tried to slowplay trips 3's or 2's and made a boat on the end.

Unless the hero has a very strong hand, he'll fold 99% of the time. Doesn't the vilain want the Hero's money ? |

Re: River WTF?
You don't know if you're playing against a thinking opponent. I would make a reluctant call.

Re: River WTF?
the pot is $20 if he has something like K4/K5 then he has a lot of outs to beat you
also what if he does something funky like push on the river? he doesnt know what you have all he knows is that you are weak if you had a set would you bet the turn? |

You don't know if you're playing against a thinking opponent. [/ QUOTE ] And then, is it a somewhat thinking opponent -- "I've gotta make a reasonable value bet so I get called," hence this would be a bizarre bluff -- or a thinking opponent who's read Sklansky and Miller -- "I should wildly overbet a nut hand here because my opponent might have a strong hand so I can maximize EV". My guess is probably not the latter bucket, but two pushes in five hands makes the other thinking bucket unlikely pending further evidence. Bayesianly speaking, of course. |
