beat: just got RAPED by the dmv

Ok so I live in vegas and have vegas insurance now but still had my PA plates that recently expired. So i go in to get nevada plates and renew my registration.

I go and do all that, she hands me my plates and tells me I owe four fifty six. I'm like ok cool, $4.56? No, freaking $456.00. I feel sick. Did I get ripped off or something? Could I have just somehow kept my PA plates? Or do people have to pay that much each year to renew registration? Is it for the plates?

F those plates I want my PA ones back and my 500 back too. I'm still sort of in shock. I was expecting like 60 bucks or something. $296 of it on the recept is for Govt Services tax. WHAT THE [censored]
