Its hard to enjoy poker when you're constantly saying to yourself "Hmmm, maybe Ace high is good here ..."

ugh

I was 800 up for a big session of 1/2NL, was running bad, but still getting good results. I think to myself, nice nice session martijn, lets call it a day. Then this little devil in my head says, dude, you gotta make 1K man, nice and round number.
So ofcourse I try to make 1K before I finish the session, and end up getting AA twice allin, both losing, and some more random [censored]/coolers/bad play.

Next thing I know I'm down 500$ for the session, and hate myself so bad.
So I take a 30 min brake while being pissed off, and go back to grind, and end up 600$ up for the sesh, and immediately quite all my tables and be very happyyyy

Really don't like it. The ace is a perfect card to continue firing on [with nothing]. A decent player realizes that and isn't going to immediately give you credit for the ace. And a bad player is a bad player.

this was your typical bad player who'd float and bluff tbh. THe kind that sees a check and thinks "omg he has nothing bet!" at which point I felt there was no need to c/r because i only get called by better most of the time. Obv on river I'm not folding.

A ton of donks on FT will call one street and fold the second pretty quickly but might bluff, this was my thinking.

I like it until you 3bet the river.

If I thought somebody was floating me on the flop, but giving up on the turn, then I'd just double barrel him constantly - and keep it up with real hands. I'm just not a huge fan of passive extraction lines. You get into such nasty spots when you get the action you 'want', and when you don't get that action you often just missed a decent chunk of value.
