The new UGK is alright. It's a little disappointing to me. It has some nice tracks, but Pimp C is a little repetitive and is getting worse while Bun is getting better. I used to think Pimp was better lyrically and now it's not even close.

Jeru Da Damaja- Wrath of the Math (This is a great CD incorporating a "black power, f the white devil" type of thing with politics and a ghetto swagger with dark, grimy beats by Premo of Gangstarr, while also hating on the shiny suits type thing that Puffy was doing at that time.)

Mobb Deep- The Infamous (Shook ones pt.II maybe the greatest ghetto banger of all time.)

Big Pun- Capital Punishment (This CD can be listened to from the first song to the last, where after the last song you immediately start it from the beginning again. Has everything you want in a rap CD, club bangers, grimyness, story tracks, great skits. This just maybe the greatest hip hop cd EVER, certainly the most slept on.)

All in all, just check for a lot of the stuff from like '94 with Illmatic to 2001 and the Marshall Mathers LP, the true golden era of hip hop.
