This is my buddy- Murphy. I met him when he was abandoned with his litter and other litters- 18 kittens needed a home! A week later ALL the kittens had been adopted but HIM (b/c he was a very active kitty at only 4 weeks old! So i took him home! He's 3 now and the first 2 years he was quite a handful but also very loving. Now, he's still a little bit of a handful but also the funniest cat and very loving. He loves to lay out on his back like this ALL the time and it's always sooooo freakin funny! [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

OP, you are getting really great cat advice here..i'm impressed with how sensative most of the OOTers are! I would agree to 1.)adopt and 2.) get an adult cat b/c they really need homes!

ALL- i am so surprised how many men have cats! That is SO sexy!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not saying anything about Aladare, but my cat sure picked up on me back in the day. Hence why he only goes outside at night. Lousy goth period in High School.

Btw, just an update: I was up drinking all night, my kitty decided to wake me up four hours after I'd gone to sleep by throwing up on the homemade blanket a friend of mine from out of town made for me.

While I was using it to stay warm while sleeping.

I don't know why he hates that blanket.

don't get one cat...get two. Or get one now, and get the second later. It's much better for the cats.

Cleaning the litterbox (with a plastic scoop) isn't so bad, really, compared to picking up dog doo (with your hand) every time they go. Those plastic sandwich bags ain't cheap, ya know?

I know nothing about cats, but am interested in getting one. From what I understand, there are different types of hair and different temperments among breeds. Can anyone enlighten me?
