I agree with pretty much everyone else. In tournaments there are usually a couple of decision hands that will either take you to the final table or not, this is one of them.

He easily could be playing something like KQ (to give him some credit) and figured you took a shot with and underpair to the queen and decided to play no games on the turn. You are ahead of most of his range, make the call and take it to the final table.

alright well this made me feel better....its prolly kind of obv this is a bitchy thread as he had 555 but originally i thought it was a good call and just a cooler (seems to be the consensus here at least which is good) but when i was loooking over the hnad i thought id get some 2nd opinions bc i am not very accomplished in mtts at all and i thought maybe there was a chance to get away from it

Here's a similar hand where the guy that doubled had 43 BBs. This may make you feel better about not being able to get away in this spot. Some pretty good players can't get away here either...
