1/2 PLO: TTP, str8 board, OOP, raised pot
$1-$2 PLO, 7 handed
1 limper to Hero, who raises to $9 in CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Button calls, blinds fold, limper calls. Flop (3 players, $30): 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] EP checks, Hero bets $25, Button calls, EP folds. Turn (2 players, $80): 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero has $160 behind, foe covers. Only played a few orbits with foe, who has called a little thin on the flop a couple times but appears to tighten up considerably on later streets. |

Tighten up his calling or raising? Do you mean that he tends to float and then check behind?

Re: 1/2 PLO: TTP, str8 board, OOP, raised pot
I wouldn't expect him to bet anything I'm beating on this turn. I'd seen him check behind with a rivered top set on a straightened board, and I'd seen him almost time out before calling a 1/2-pot bet with the third-nut flush on the river. In both cases, given the action, his opponent was very unlikely to be ahead.
If he checked behind here he may have 89T or a weaker two pair, w/ or w/o picking up a flush draw. (Edit: He'd also pass a lot of these hands if I bet the turn.) |

Well I'm sure he calls with a few good draws/combo draws/two pair like AJ with some sort of draw on the turn, as long as you price him in. The stack sizes are awkard, but I think you can get away with betting $40 and folding to a raise.

Bet 35-50. Fold to a reraise. You're not beating a lot here.
