Default nl 100, T8s bb flop trips, spewy?

villain is new to table, no reads on him

I guess I have a kicker problem?

Id call, hes gonna have a dumb high pp much more often than a ten here I think. This is obv exploitable but i think its doubtful hes betting 8 into 9 with trips on this board after 2 checks. An interesting situation would be if u still had the inital raiser (not bettor) behind u.

Calling here is never going to be hugely neg EV, conversely, it will highly +EV a decent amount of the time.

isnt EV just whether or not the decision is correct (expected value)? cant really be one sometimes and the other the rest of the time.

I wonder why this call will never be hugely -EV. When I cold called the c/r, I think I've turned my hand faced up.

Gotta agree - your call was SOOOOO strong that against good players this might very well be a fold.

That said, it's NL100 where even 'good' players have trouble folding big overpairs here.

Clear call.
