IntelliPoker -Pokerstars plans to educate the fish?

The German version was opened a few months ago. They've announced educational videos and articles a few a times now, but nothing has happened yet - only a few blogs and news are published there. So it will probably take even longer until the english version is ready. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Btw, there is another German poker schools w/ a few 100k members (I think its about 400k, and almost all good German players started by this site) who also made a lot of advertisement of TV. They offer free $50 on Party and a lot of strategy/coaching etc., and when they became big a lot of their members were afraid that they would stop all the fish to deposit their own money and the games would get too tough...but despite the fact that they have so many members the games on Party are still soft as hell...

It's supposed to be a neutral place and not some place where one's competition is improved; it goes under the name "collusion." If the casino itself wants to collude against itself (e.g. Blackjack), that's its own business, but it has no moral right to collude with the worse players, educate our competition; it took me some years to find and learn stuff that's offered on some .com sites - that's stealing time, money and energy from me. Under better laws I would win the case against them and get compensations.

Offline (and online) casinos may have poker books that they sell on their possible stores; that's not as bad but should also not be done. As an argument I could, when playing poker there, sometimes offer basic strategy cards for e.g. Blackjack players, and there's nothing the casino can do about it (though they could kick me out but the law will protect me, though it's not what usually is done, but one should just go to the police as all one did was offering basic strategy cards for some other fellow players). Stuff like that is usually the only way to do anything about things that are against my rights when the laws won't protect me. There's maybe nothing I can do about the online casinos here.

p.s. I would like to see the site rake tables also showing the average rake per hour, or so, one is paying playing this or that limit. But the only sites that are a sort of doing that are the ones offering more or less rakefree games. Now, what kind of a business is not saying how much it costs for its customers to play there? That's the single most important information that should be posted on their sites. Not posting it is illegal, as it's stealing, though not under the current laws.

Similar to poker-players...the number of card-counters who think they are good is FAR greater than the number of card-counters who actually are good.

I actually managed to come out ahead over my entire blackjack career. I was a decent card counter, but was only able to get to Las Vegas to play a few times a year. For every one of me, there were tens of thousands of slightly worse card counters who left their money behind on their occasional weekend trips.

In 1973, I spent hundreds of hours on an IBM 1130 with a buddy of mine, verifying Thorpe's theory and running simulations before heading to Las Vegas to try it out. We studied and practiced for weeks, but when we got to Las Vegas my buddy suddenly decided that he could "read" the deck and "knew" what card was coming next. Again, for every one of me, there are tens of thousands of him.

I don't know if I could ever have been good enough to make a living at it, and as the countermeasures increased, decided to never give it a try. Then the poker boom came along.

Are their any casinos that deal a single deck and promise to go halfway through it to attract the wanabes?

Seems like it would be profitable even though a handfull could beat the game.
