switch the channel then

also, is your networked named the default 'lynksis' or did you rename it? i've read that people couldn't do it if it was the default name, but renamed it and it worked

I renamed the network so that should not be an issue. I'll try switching to channel 11 (It was on channel 1).

Hey 4 2,
I was having problems with my linksys as well my problem was different though....Anyways go their site and they have some executable that'll configure your router for you and it fixed my problem. Go to http://www.linksysfix.com/check/Home...tm?callerID=WS

download that file and it'll reconfigure your router hope it helps

Thanks for the help guys, but nothing suggested here is working. I have gone through everything at the Nintendo website with nothing but error messages.

I'm sure one of you technology geniuses could probably get it to work, but I have already spent way more than $40 worth of time screwing around with this.

I'll either wait until Nintendo releases the cable to hard wire it or will pick up a Nintendo Wifi.

I guess I need to buy new wireless 'hubs' (or whatever they are called) for each of my other computers as well, right?

What brands should I wary of or look to buy?

(Sorry if these questions seem basic.)

no, just get a new router; all of your computers will work with it like they did the old one

netgear/dlink/linksys/etc etc are all fine
