Pokerstars FPP Question (Win $20!!!!)
I'm not sure if this belongs here or internet gambling so feel free to move if this is the wrong forum.
I never really played on PS and have no idea what these FPPs are or whatever. I guess I need to get to Supernova before the year ends or something. What I need from someone: Can I reach Supernova playing around 230,000 hands of .25/.5 6 max NL the rest of this month? If so, I plan on playing 100k hands a month on that limit (lets say). Tell me step by step what money bonus I need to do or w/e to max out my rakeback bonus in cash. Also, around how many FPPs can I expect to get doing 100k hands a month for a year with and without using FPPs as cash bonuses. Whoever can do this for me first I will send $20 to on stars. No, I won't back out..I lose $100 flips like crazy, I won't cheat you out of $20. Thanks

Last time I played NL50, I was making about .267 VPPs per hand. Thus your 230k hands would earn you about 61,500 VPPs and put you way short of supernova. [/ QUOTE ] Basically there are 3 bonus options: At goldstar you can buy a $285 bonus for 25,000 FPPs At platinumstar you can buy a $650 bonus for 50,000 FPPs At supernova you can buy a $1500 bonus for 100,000 FPPs To get the best value for your money, obviously get the supernova bonus as it is the best value. If you don't reach supernova, then just wait until you have enough FPPs to buy the platinumstar bonus. [/ QUOTE ] You will earn .267 VPPs per hand at NL50, so the number of FPPs you earn will depend on what VIP level you are at. You will probably reach platinumstar and stay there after the first month, and at this level you get a 2.5x multiplier FPP bonus. So basically you take the number of hands you play times .267 times 2.5 to figure out your FPPs for a month. 100,000 * .267 * 2.5 = ~66,750 FPPs you can expect per month [ QUOTE ] Whoever can do this for me first I will send $20 to on stars. So I guess its not even possible to reach SUpernova in a year of 100k hands/mo at 50nl. Can I get to it next year by playing 100nl? If so, am i better off just waiting til the new year to start on PS and get my rakeback at FT until then? THanks

If you played 100k hands a month, then yes you could reach Nova easy at NL50. Like the other posted said, you will be getting roughly 25k VPP's a month. So you would make Nova in about 4 months of play.
Your best bet would be start on Jan. 1, as you said.

Whoops, sorry for the confusion. I obviously mixed up the 100,000 VPPs needed for supernova with the 1,000,000 needed for Supernova Elite.
It is still possible you could make supernova by year's end playing NL50, by my estimates you would need to play about 375,000 hands by year's end. A tough task, but I guess it can be done, especially 12 tabling.
